| Global Coffee organized a fundraising dinner for helping China because of its horrible earthquake.

About 18 international students took part in this activity. Of course it included me.

They were making dumplings and a lot of dishes at the beginning.

In the mean time, I was allocating the tables and chairs in the hall.

But certainly, I also cooked.

I used 50 eggs and 30 tomatoes to cook scrabbled tomato and eggs (西红柿炒鸡蛋)for about 70 people!

It was really a tired work. But it looked not bad, didn't it?

About 7 pm, the dinner began.

It seemed that foreigners were quite enjoy the Chinese food and Chinese background music.

During the dinner, there were some performances. Such as singing Chinese song <Beautiful Plain (美丽的草原)>,

playing Chinese traditional musical instrument(古筝用英语怎么说?),

and singing Burmese (缅甸的) song......

However, you may guessed that I would not do nothing but just watch!

I played a Chinese piano song: <Aquatic Dancing (水草舞)>.

In the end of the dinner, John, who was the organizer of this fundraising dinner and the host of this church, let the clients to select the best cooker.

A Chinese student and a Burmese student shared 100 AUS(Australian Dollar, 1AUS=6.6RMB). And then, John didn't finish. He began to auction a bottle of champagne,

which at last bought by a lady with the price of 100 AUS.

The show bills on the wall were also auctioned. <中国需要帮助> 75AUS <捐助晚餐> 65AUS <谢谢> 60AUS(interesting, isn't it?) <慈善晚宴> 85AUS <缅甸需要帮助> ? ? means I didn't know because I was watching two lovely kids playing.

But I remembered that John was often joking: 60 dollars once, 60 dollars twice, 60 dollars twice and a quarter, a third, a half......sold!

Finally, this dinner collected about 2500 AUS totally, which would be sent to China.
